At 12:00 tomorrow, Real Madrid will discover who they will meet in the semi-finals of the Champions League. The draw takes place in the House of European Football in Nyon (Switzerland) and will include, as well as the Whites, Bayern Munich, Atlético de Madrid and Chelsea. The first leg will be played on Tuesday the 22nd or Wednesday the 23rd of April and the second will take place on Tuesday the 29th or Wednesday the 30th of the same month.

It is hard to criticize the current European champions' exceptional season. The arrival of Pep Guardiola has given a team that were crowned champions of the Bundesliga with seven matches to spare even more competitive instinct.

They reached the semi-finals by knocking out Manchester United with a 4-2 aggregate win and have only lost one match in the European Cup, but it was the last in the Group Stage and they had already qualified. They are historically superior against Real Madrid with 11 victories, 2 draws and 7 defeats. Thomas Müller is their top goal-scorer in the Champions League having found the net five times.

REAL MADRID AND BAYERN ARE THE ONLY TWO TEAMS TO HAVE REACHED THE SEMI-FINALS AGAIN AFTER PLAYING IN THE ROUND LAST YEAR.

Atlético de Madrid
Cholo Simeone's men are in the midst of a historical season. They are league leaders with six matches to play, and their Champions League campaign has been equally impressive. It is the only unbeaten team and left Barcelona in its wake on the way to the semis.

Real Madrid have played them three times in Europe and the Whites have beaten them twice and lost once. Diego Costa's performances have as outstanding as his team's campaign in the competition has been stunning; he has scored seven goals in Europe.

Chelsea
Did not get off to the best of starts this season, but it seems that José Mourinho has found the key to winning with the English side. They are in the fight for the Premier League with Liverpool and Manchester City and knocked out PSG in the quarters coming back in London from a 3-1 defeat in the first leg.

They have a good record against Real Madrid with two victories and a draw in European competitions. The suspended Ivanovic will miss the first leg of the semi-finals, while Samuel Eto'o, Fernando Torres and Demba Ba are their top goal-scorers in the competition with three each.

EXCITING SECOND LEG AWAITS SWEDEN, PORTUGAL

Portugal are 1-0 up after the first leg of the World Cup playoff against Sweden but with the return match being held at a stadium dubbed the 'Zlatan Arena' the job is by no means done. Sweden captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic was relatively subdued in the first leg in Lisbon on Friday as a late diving header from Cristiano Ronaldo put Portugal in the driving seat.
