Odegaard set to return to real Madrid

 On-loan Real Madrid wonderkid Martin Odegaard is set to return to the Santiago Bernabeu earlier than initially expected, as per reports in Spain.

The Norwegian has been an integral part of Real Sociedad's system this year and has thoroughly impressed with his displays. Odegaard's performances tailed off towards the end of the season, but overall, he's had a superb impact on La Real's LaLiga Santander campaign. He has scored four goals and set up a further six from midfield.

With Real Madrid eliminated from the UEFA Champions League and the club unlikely to spend hefty transfer fees this summer, a return to his parent club could be on the cards for Odegaard

Portugal are 1-0 up after the first leg of the World Cup playoff against Sweden but with the return match being held at a stadium dubbed the 'Zlatan Arena' the job is by no means done. Sweden captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic was relatively subdued in the first leg in Lisbon on Friday as a late diving header from Cristiano Ronaldo put Portugal in the driving seat.
